National Tree Week

Take A Part Carlow celebrated National Tree Week in April by planting native Hawthorn Trees or “May Bushes” around the Tullow Road. Almost a year since our May Bush project with artist Michael Fortune we now have beautiful new trees that can be enjoyed by the community and decorated each May to celebrate the coming of Spring. This event was supported by the Environment Section of Carlow Co Co and the Spark Change Challenge.
